Qualifications

  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License or equivalent is required.

About the role:

Reporting to the Superintendent, Process Maintenance, the Lead, Asset Condition is responsible for executing condition-based monitoring tasks and inspections on mobile equipment. The Lead, Asset Condition will analyse condition monitoring data, create work orders and communicate defects to the various maintenance teams to improve the effectiveness of current processes and increase equipment reliability.

To be successful, we are looking for someone with strong written communication and interpersonal skills, who is self-motivated and can collaborate with multiple teams of technical professionals. We require someone who is comfortable working from heights and in confined spaces. In this role you will:

  • Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
  • Work in accordance with applicable government regulations and standards
  • Supervise technicians responsible for the collection of vibration analysis data
  • Manage the collection and analysis of condition monitoring data from the oil analysis, vibration analysis and non-destructive examination programs
  • Manage the analysis of condition monitoring data, identify corrective actions and work with various groups within the maintenance department to troubleshoot and mitigate equipment defects and improve asset reliability
  • Manage initiatives to continuously improve the condition monitoring programs to be more effective, efficient and sustainable
  • Work closely with the engineering, planning, and execution teams to maximize equipment reliability
  • Increase the efficiency of reporting, alarms, and application of technology relevant to continuous real time monitoring of equipment health
  • Work on defect elimination and maintenance strategy improvement projects with other members of the Reliability Engineering team


Requirements:

  • Trade Certificate or Engineering Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent digital literacy with the Microsoft Office Suite®
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in a Condition Maintenance Monitoring System (CMMS) such as Microsoft Dynamics AX, SAP, JD Edwards, or similar
  • An individual with existing NRCan certification may be considered for training in this position if they display relevant aptitude and attitude to ability to obtain CGSB Level 1 ultrasonic, level 1 MT/PT; IS018436 Vibration Inspections CAT 1, Thermography Inspections Level 1, within 2 years of employment will be required
  • Lubrication analysis experience and certification (STLE, ICML/MLA level 1) is an asset
  • Experience or Certification in thermography, vibration analysis (CAT Level I), and non-destructive examination (CGSB Level I Ultrasonic) is an asset
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License or equivalent


Salary range: 108,800 - 128,000 CAD/ year

The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
