Full Job Description
1. Education: A Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in computer science or related field preferred.

2. Training and Experience: Minimum five years of experience with computer programming with database experience preferred. Supervisory experience preferred. Technically fluent in programming languages, including C++, SQL, Java, HTML, PHP. Extensive database and operating systems experience with MS Windows, SQL Server, Linux. Solid working knowledge of current technologies. Hands-on software troubleshooting experience. Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.

3. Job Knowledge: Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. Adept at conducting research into software-related issues and products. Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies. Strong written and oral communication skills. DESCRIPTION:

Under direct supervision of the Information Systems Director, the Lead Applications Developer/Programmer role is to oversee the design, execution, assessment, and troubleshooting of software programs and applications. Also, to strategically facilitate the organization's business and data analytics needs including but not limited to business intelligence and data mining application management and integration with databases and data warehouses, rolling out data analytics tools to the end user, and ensuring data integrity. This includes configuring, coding, developing, and documenting software specifications throughout the project life cycle. They will also oversee system startups in a timely and accurate fashion and provide support to other departments where required. Responsible for one shift, five days per week. Incumbent is subject to overtime, on-call duty and call back as required by the organization.

Physical Effort: Works in well-lighted, air-conditioned office. Some travel is required.

Mental Effort: Position is prone to many interruptions and repetitive tasks.
