Work You'll Do

As a Lead Analytics and Insights Engineer II on the team, you will:
  • Lead the strategy, governance, maintenance, and enhancement of the Integrated Eligibility reporting and analytics environment supporting Medicaid, SNAP, TANF, and related programs.
  • Oversee the development, management, and optimization of executive dashboards, operational reporting, federal reporting, and program performance analytics.
  • Manage reporting assets, data transformations, data models, security frameworks, and reporting operations to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and compliance with federal and state requirements.
  • Partner with DHS leadership, business stakeholders, and technical teams to define reporting requirements, resolve data quality issues, and deliver data-driven insights that support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying reporting gaps, streamlining workflows, rationalizing reporting inventories, and implementing automation and best practices across the analytics platform.
  • Leverage analytics tools and technologies, including Snowflake, Power BI, and Informatica Cloud, to identify trends, risks, and opportunities that improve program outcomes and reporting efficiency.

Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • 5+ years of experience leading data analytics, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives within the Integrated Eligibility domain, supporting programs such as Medicaid, SNAP, TANF, or related human services programs.
  • 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and managing enterprise data warehouse solutions, data models, and reporting environments using Snowflake and other modern analytics platforms.
  • 4+ years of experience managing cross-functional analytics or data projects, including reporting governance, stakeholder engagement, and delivery of executive and operational dashboards.
  • 3+ years of experience developing and supporting reporting and data integration solutions utilizing Microsoft Power BI and Informatica Cloud, with a focus on data quality, security, and operational reporting.
  • Ability to travel 5-20%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Preferred:
  • 3+ years of experience implementing data governance, reporting standards, and metadata management practices in large-scale enterprise environments.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives and data quality improvement programs.
  • Experience within government health and human services agencies, particularly Integrated Eligibility systems and federal reporting environments.
  • Experience identifying and implementing automation and reporting modernization initiatives that improve operational efficiency and decision support.
