Job SummaryPerforms advanced analytical, operational, system, and contract management support functions for the business office across a multi-entity healthcare system including all hospitals and hospital-based clinics. Optimizes revenue cycle performance ensuring accurate payer reimbursement and supporting contract configuration and monitoring to align expected reimbursement with actual financial outcomes. Partners with leadership, Revenue Integrity, Patient Access, Health Information Management (HIM), Information Technology, and Payer Relations to drive data-driven decision-making, enhance revenue capture, and ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
Minimum Job Requirements: Work Experience:Five years of extensive experience with financial information systems within a healthcare environment. Experience in implementation and support systems required. Prior programming experience preferred.
License/Registration/Certification:None.
Education and Training:Bachelor's degree in information systems or related field required.
Skills:- Effective written and oral communications skills for establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all levels of hospital personnel.
- Demonstrated ability to support multi-entity healthcare systems, including hospitals and hospital-based clinics
- Broad understanding of newer information technologies related to healthcare computing and operational processes.
- Strong leadership, planning, and organizational skills.
- Strong technical skills and familiarity with current information systems management concepts and terminology.
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis, reporting tools, and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with contract modeling tools and data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Ability to handle stressful situations and multiple tasks. Ability to lead projects and manage resources effectively.
- Strong knowledge of payer contracts, reimbursement methodologies, and regulatory requirements (CMS, Medicaid, Commercial payers)
- Must be self-motivated, analytical, a good troubleshooter, and goal oriented.
- Ability to coach and develop associates, maximizing performance based on mutual agreement of measurable performance objectives and methods for tracking performance
