AI Engineer Leader to drive AI innovation for new projects in clinical workflows. You will lead a small team of AI engineers, provide technical guidance, and help turn cutting-edge AI/LLM technologies into practical solutions that accelerate processes, extract insights, and support clinical innovation.
We're looking for a hands-on, proactive technologist who is passionate about AI, curious about new technologies, and capable of mentoring junior engineers in a fast-paced startup environment.
Responsibilities:- Lead a small team of AI engineers and guide their development on project tasks.
- Design, develop, and prototype AI/LLM solutions for real-world clinical workflows.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers and cross-functional teams to implement innovative AI solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and support skill development and productivity.
- Stay up to date with cutting-edge AI/ML research and apply relevant advances to projects.
Qualifications :- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, or a related field.
- 6+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years leading AI/ML initiatives, products, or teams.
- Strong programming skills in Python and at least one additional language such as Java, C++.
- Hands-on experience with Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, AI agents, model evaluation, and related AI technologies.
- Experience building, deploying, and maintaining AI systems in production environments.
- Proven ability to lead technical initiatives, drive architectural decisions, and mentor engineers.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with ambiguity and evolving priorities.
Nice-to-have:- Experience in clinical workflows, clinical trials, or life sciences applications.
- Data analysis, cloud development, or distributed systems experience.
- Experience deploying AI solutions in production.
