Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Lead AI Architect to strengthen architecture delivery across the technology portfolio. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, AI-fluent architect who can translate business and technical requirements into clear architecture solutions and rapidly develop prototypes to validate ideas. The role requires the ability to work across enterprise architecture, AI/GenAI, cloud, integration, data, and modern application development.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop clear, end-to-end architecture artifacts, including solution designs, reference architectures, diagrams, patterns, and Architecture Decision Records (ADRs).
• Design and integrate AI, Generative AI, and machine learning capabilities into enterprise solutions.
• Evaluate AI patterns, tools, technologies, and architectural trade-offs.
• Build rapid proofs of concept and working prototypes to validate architecture decisions and de-risk technical options.
• Partner with engineering, product, and business teams to align architecture with delivery goals and non-functional requirements.
• Address security, scalability, resilience, performance, and cost considerations within architecture designs.
• Present architecture designs, technical decisions, and trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Maintain clear, current, and usable architecture documentation.
• Apply enterprise architecture standards, controls, and best practices throughout solution design and prototyping.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance across application, integration, cloud, AI, and data architecture initiatives.
Required Qualifications
• Demonstrable hands-on experience building, integrating, or architecting AI, Generative AI, or machine learning solutions.
• Proven ability to develop complete and well-documented architecture designs.
• Experience rapidly developing POCs and working prototypes to validate technical concepts.
• Senior hands-on technical experience operating at a Lead Architect level.
• Strong understanding of modern application, integration, cloud, and enterprise architecture patterns.
• Experience with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), agentic AI, prompt engineering, model APIs, embeddings, and vector stores.
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform, including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and serverless services.
• Strong knowledge of microservices, event-driven architecture, API-led design, REST, GraphQL, messaging, and streaming technologies such as Kafka.
• Experience with data modeling, relational and NoSQL databases, SQL, data lakes, data warehouses, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data governance.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or a comparable programming language.
• Experience with rapid prototyping, scripting, and notebook-based experimentation.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform, Git-based version control, and automated testing.
• Experience with architecture modeling and diagramming tools or methodologies such as C4, UML, or ArchiMate.
• Experience creating and maintaining Architecture Decision Records (ADRs).
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and deliver tangible outcomes in ambiguous and rapidly changing environments.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience designing enterprise data models, information flows, and data platforms.
• Experience with enterprise information architecture and data/information architecture practices.
• Familiarity with common machine learning frameworks.
