Summary

We are seeking a Lead for Aftersales & Retail ERP to own the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of technology platforms that support Scout Motors' Aftersales, Service, Parts, and Retail ERP capabilities. This role will lead a portfolio spanning Aftersales ERP, DMS, service operations, parts logistics, technical service systems, warranty and recall touchpoints, and required VW Group systems.

This is a hands-on domain leadership role responsible for translating Aftersales business capabilities into scalable, production-ready systems. The role will partner closely with Commercial Operations, Digital Products, Enterprise Architecture, Platform Engineering, Data/Integration, Security, Finance, and VW Group stakeholders to ensure Scout's Aftersales technology landscape is launch-ready, supportable, and aligned to enterprise standards.
What you'll do

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
  • Own the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of Aftersales and Retail ERP systems supporting service operations, parts management, DMS, warranty, recall, technical service, and related retail capabilities.
  • Serve as the Commercial IT domain owner for the Aftersales ERP template, coordinating solution design, vendor execution, phased rollout, integration, testing, deployment, and transition to operations.
  • Translate business requirements across Aftersales, parts logistics, service operations, and technical service into system capabilities, integration needs, data requirements, and implementation plans.
  • Lead cross-functional alignment across Commercial Operations, Digital Products, ERP, Finance, Data, Platform Engineering, Security, and other system teams to resolve dependencies and drive decisions.
  • Evaluate build, buy, and other system options, ensuring recommendations are based on business value, launch readiness, integration complexity, cost, scalability, and long-term supportability.
  • Ensure all Aftersales and Retail ERP solutions align with enterprise architecture, integration patterns, data governance, security requirements, release management, and operational readiness expectations.

Location & Travel Expectations:
  • This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Novi, Michigan.
  • This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events.
  • Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

  • Strong understanding of automotive Aftersales, service operations, parts logistics, retail operations, DMS, ERP, or related commercial systems.
  • Experience working with large-scale ERP, DMS, CRM, service, parts, inventory, logistics, or warranty platforms.
  • Ability to translate business processes into system capabilities, functional requirements, integration needs, and delivery plans.
  • Strong vendor management skills, including RFI/RFP support, solution evaluation, implementation oversight, and delivery accountability.
  • Experience partnering with enterprise architecture, integration, data, security, infrastructure, and operations teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence senior business and IT leaders through ambiguity.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams, dependencies, risks, and decisions while maintaining focus on launch readiness.
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, business, engineering, or related field.

Pay Transparency

This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.

Initial base salary range = $160,000.00 - $192,500.00
