Job DescriptionJob Summary:We are seeking a SQL DBA responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, performance tuning, and security of Microsoft SQL Server databases. The ideal candidate will ensure database availability, integrity, backup/recovery, and support business applications with optimal database performance.
Key Responsibilities:- Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server databases.
- Monitor database performance and implement tuning improvements.
- Manage backups, restores, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions.
- Troubleshoot database issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Implement database security, user access, and compliance controls.
- Support application deployments, upgrades, and database migrations.
- Develop and maintain database maintenance plans and documentation.
- Work with application and infrastructure teams to ensure system reliability.
Required Skills:- Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2016/2019/2022).
- Knowledge of T-SQL, stored procedures, indexing, and query optimization.
- Experience with Always On Availability Groups, replication, and clustering.
- Familiarity with backup/recovery strategies and disaster recovery planning.
- Understanding of database security and performance monitoring tools.
- Good troubleshooting and communication skills.
Preferred Certifications:- Microsoft SQL Server or Azure Database certifications.
Mandatory Skills: MSSQL Database Admin.
Experience: 8-10 Years.
The expected compensation for this role ranges from $80,000 to $173,800 .
Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
