Job Description- Strong experience providing operating system administration support of RedHat Linux, particularly in a large-scale (5000+ servers) enterprise environment
- SME expertise on performance troubleshooting and server builds, good knowledge on LVM concepts, server patching, Vendor coordination,
- Hands-on experience using scripting (any language) to solve daily problems, generate reports, and automate tasks
- Server Monitoring and ticketing tool and change management.
- Hands-on experience using scripting (any language) to solve daily problems, generate reports, and automate tasks
- Performance troubleshooting and SSH , SFTP
- Server builds OS installation and kick start
- Setting file permissions
- Changing file owner & group
- User account creation
- Create SSH key for user accounts
- LVM (Logical volume manager) concepts & configuration to create LVM
- Server Monitoring and ticketing tool and change management
- Patching activities
- Vendor coordination and knowledge in remote data center management
- VMware L1 level skills
- Installing & Configuring NFS (Network Filesystem) server
- LVM (Logical volume manager) concepts & configuration
- FTP (File transfer protocol) server setup
- Apache configuration
- Virtual host configuration
- Log file analysis and RedHat case tracking
Mandatory Skills: Linux Admin.
Experience: 5-8 Years.
The expected compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $135,000 .
Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
