Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the preparation of client financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Review and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies, trends, and potential issues affecting tax reporting.
- Collaborate closely with tax preparers to ensure financial statements align with tax return requirements and compliance standards.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes for clients as needed.
- Ensure all financial reports comply with GAAP and applicable tax regulations.
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary financial data, explain findings, and address accounting-related inquiries.
- Assist in developing internal processes and best practices for improved accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting.
- Coordinate with external auditors as needed and assist with audit preparation for clients.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, including financial statement preparation and analysis
- Solid understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and tax principles
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Excel; experience with tax software a plus
Preferred Skills:- Experience in a public accounting or tax preparation firm environment
- Familiarity with financial reporting for small businesses, partnerships, and individuals
- Knowledge of tax return preparation processes and required documentation
- Ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously
Schedule: Monday to Friday

$80K - $110K annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
