Title:
Lead Accountant, Consolidations & Intercompany

The Lead Accountant plays a key role within Trinzic's Corporate Accounting organization, supporting the monthly and quarterly close process, financial consolidations, and public company reporting requirements. This role is responsible for preparing and overseeing preparation of consolidation schedules, supporting SEC reporting processes, maintaining financial reporting controls, and assisting with the accuracy and integrity of financial information used in internal and external reporting. The position partners closely with Corporate Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Internal Controls, and external auditors to support the company's public company reporting obligations.

The ideal candidate possesses strong U.S. GAAP expertise, experience operating within a complex corporate environment, and the ability to drive process improvements that enhance reporting quality, efficiency, and compliance. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the development and maturation of the accounting infrastructure supporting a newly independent public company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and lead components of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process.
  • Prepare and review consolidation activities, including intercompany eliminations and consolidation journal entries.
  • Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and prepare management reporting schedules.
  • Prepare and review account reconciliations to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial statements.
  • Support the preparation of information used in SEC filings and other external reporting requirements.
  • Assist with SOX compliance activities and execution of internal control procedures.
  • Partner with internal and external auditors by providing supporting analyses and documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting efficiency, and control effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Tax, SEC Reporting, Internal Controls, and business stakeholders to support corporate accounting objectives.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced accounting team members.


Basic Qualifications

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5-6+ years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public company environment.
  • Experience supporting financial close, consolidations, and financial reporting activities.
  • Experience applying U.S. GAAP principles to complex accounting transactions.

Technical & Leadership Skills
  • Proficiency with financial reporting and consolidation systems such as Oracle SmartView, HFM, or similar platforms.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong financial analysis capabilities.
  • Ability to research accounting issues, exercise professional judgment, and communicate recommendations effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions and provide guidance to less experienced team members.


Preferred Qualifications
  • CPA certification.
  • Experience supporting SEC reporting activities, including Forms 10-K and 10-Q.
  • Experience with SOX compliance and internal control frameworks.
  • Experience within government contracting or another highly regulated industry.
