Dewberry is currently seeking a Senior Landscape Architect Project Manager to serve as the landscape architecture team lead, in our Tampa, FL office. This is an excellent career opportunity to contribute to the overall growth of our landscape architecture practice across the company. Our landscape architecture team provides comprehensive services to our clients from the conceptual stage through design, bidding, and construction administration frequently serving as the design lead. Typical projects involve site design for parks and recreation, multi-family, mixed-use, single family residential neighborhoods, commercial and capital improvement projects.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for assisting with recruiting efforts and entry level hiring.
  • Leading Staff preparation and coordination of all deliverables to execute projects.
  • This position will have several direct reports to manage, and the candidate will collaborate with the team to encourage and foster a culture of design amongst the LA staff.
  • Attend outside events to represent the Dewberry Landscape Architecture Team.
  • Will need to apply advanced to expert drawing and drafting skills electronically.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and provide QA/QC.
  • Work with staff and senior managers, acts as a liaison between clients and staff, and presents at client or public meetings.
  • Independently applies extensive and diversified knowledge of principals and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields.
  • Uses advanced techniques in the modification of extension of theories and practices of sciences and disciplines to complete assignments.
  • Coordinates all project efforts in order to ensure effective execution, prepares strategic plans, and serves as primary client liaison.
  • Supports quality management program on project assignments and verifies that quality processes and procedures are followed.
  • Manages workload and staff assignments to assure that budget, schedule, and quality objectives are met and identify technical resource needs.
Required Skills & Required Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture or Urban Planning.
  • 10-15 years of experience in landscape architecture and/or land planning.
  • RLA licensure required, CLARB Certification Preferred.
  • Strong freehand illustration and rendering skills.
  • Experience and advanced knowledge with Photoshop, InDesign, Sketchup, Illustrator, Lumion, GIS/ArcView and Power Point.
  • Experience and advanced knowledge with AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
  • Public speaking experience is required.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively lead and manage a team environment.
  • Portfolio or work samples will be required if considered for an interview.
