Full Job Description
Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking an experienced and licensed Landscape Architect with experience leading complex landscape architecture projects to join our growing Urbanism + Planning (U+P) studio in the Denver, CO office. The Rocky Mountain Region U+P studio is an integral component of the overall Buildings + Places practice and is focused on leading or supporting a diverse mix of projects including federal, state, municipal, institutional, and transportation/transit related infrastructure.

We are seeking a high-performing individual with expertise in managing projects, staff, and teams with demonstrated technical ability in all aspects of site design and landscape architecture, including successfully managing projects from conceptual design through completion of construction documents and construction phase services. The candidate should be efficient in production of design graphics, construction drawings, and design and planning related presentations and reports. The position provides exposure to all aspects and phases of the firm's planning and landscape architectural practice, including communicating with internal and external clients.

You must be self-motivated with the desire and ability to lead others in the design and technical documentation process, as well as passionate about engaging and retaining clients. You will need to embrace the opportunity to mentor less-experienced staff and contribute to building a strong studio-based culture.

The ideal candidate also understands and has a proven track record in driving business fundamentals that include business development, client management, financial oversight, quality control, project delivery, and has the ability to convey innovative design thinking and solutions.

This is a hybrid role and does require dedicated office hours in the Denver, CO office. While we embrace hybrid work schedules, the successful candidate should first plan to become an integral part and dedicated presence in the studio to ensure effectiveness in the role.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Serve in a leadership capacity pursuing and implementing work through exceptional design, planning, project documentation, business development, and/or project management.
  • Provide landscape architecture, planning and project management services to a wide variety of private and public clients.
  • Perform lead designer/planner and/or project manager role on projects of various scales.
  • Support other project managers or designer/planners on large, complex projects.
  • Contribute to AECOM's "think and act globally" philosophy by creating a culture of innovation and collaboration.
