Full Job Description
Position Summary
An Account Manager with DCPS serves as the primary liaison between commercial landscape maintenance clients and DCPS Landscape Operations. This individual is responsible for ensuring client expectations are met through consistent service delivery, proactive communication, and effective coordination of maintenance, irrigation, chemical, and tree care services across a portfolio of accounts.

Qualifications
  • 3 years minimum experience as a Landscape Account Manager
  • Working knowledge of all aspects of landscaping including mowing, pruning, chemicals, annuals, tree and plant health, irrigation, and enhancements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Horticultural education or equivalent experience preferred
  • Proficiency in plant identification for materials grown in the Colorado climate
  • Ability to work collaboratively with strong interpersonal communication
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Bidding and estimating experience preferred

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine property walks and generate detailed reports
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts and resolve client issues
  • Communicate service schedules and timelines to clients regularly
  • Monitor quality of work to ensure alignment with DCPS standards
  • Present work orders for client approval and coordinate execution with internal teams
  • Collaborate with landscape divisions to address service needs and client concerns
  • Respond promptly to urgent service requests
  • Identify and sell landscape enhancements to existing clients
  • Assist in estimating maintenance and enhancement services
  • Prepare and present proposals for client review
  • Support snow operations during winter months as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to walk properties for extended periods of time across varying terrain
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and reaching
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions including heat, cold, and precipitation

Work Environment
This role requires regular travel to client sites and outdoor work in varying environmental conditions. Exposure to noise, dust, and typical landscaping conditions should be expected. Work hours may vary based on seasonal demands, including occasional extended hours during peak seasons or snow events.

Compensation
  • Salary: $70,000 • $100,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications

Additional Information

This position requires the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle and travel between job sites. Employment with DCPS is at-will and may be terminated by either the employee or the company at any time, with or without cause or notice.
