Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced and motivated
Asphalt and Concrete Project Manager to oversee all phases of paving and concrete construction projects from initiation to completion. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in civil construction with an emphasis on asphalt and concrete work, excellent project management skills, and the ability to manage crews, subcontractors, budgets, and schedules effectively.
Key Responsibilities: - Plan, coordinate, and manage all aspects of asphalt and concrete projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
- Create and manage project budgets, schedules, and timelines.
- Coordinate work between field crews, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
- Monitor job sites to ensure quality control, safety, and compliance with local codes and regulations.
- Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates and resolve issues.
- Perform job costing and prepare change orders as necessary.
- Conduct pre-construction and progress meetings with stakeholders.
- Manage the procurement of materials, equipment, and permits.
- Supervise site foremen and ensure optimal crew productivity and performance.
- Handle project close-out procedures including final inspections and punch lists.
Qualifications: - Minimum of 3• 5 years of experience in asphalt, concrete, or civil construction project management.
- Proven experience managing multiple paving and/or flatwork projects simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of construction techniques, materials, and equipment.
- Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Buildertrend) and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents, plans, and specifications.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).
Work Environment: - Majority of work is performed on construction sites with exposure to outdoor elements and jobsite hazards.
- Must be able to walk on uneven ground, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in varying weather conditions.
- Occasional office work required for planning, reporting, and meetings.
Compensation and Benefits: - Competitive salary based on experience
- $115,000.00 to 135,000.00 total compensation with bonuses.
