UL Solutions is looking for a AHL Electrical Lab Supervisor to join our Northbrook, IL Campus.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises the day-to-day delivery of high-quality testing services.
  • Monitors the daily productivity and quality of work, allocates resources as required and troubleshoot/escalate problems as necessary.
  • Schedules, assigns, reviews and coordinates workflow to assure proper utilization and training of lab staff, ensuring all work is in accordance with regulatory and organizational policy, accreditation/compliance requirements.
  • Provides input into the annual budgetary goals, capital expenditure budget for lab equipment and tactical plans for assigned lab team.
  • Contributes to preparing instructions for test methods, procedures, quality control and maintenance procedures.
  • Examines test samples, test performance and provides input regarding issues and/or problems with test/data sheets.
  • Operates machines and lab equipment, may perform routine maintenance of designated test equipment and laboratory area.
  • Integrates continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job.
  • Under supervision, manages the performance of direct reports by defining accountabilities, establishing performance objectives, providing feedback and guidance, assist in hiring and ensuring that all policies are understood and adhered to.
  • Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.
  • Other duties as directed.

Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career . The estimated salary range for this position is $72,000 to $88,363 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 10% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
