As a Laboratory Quality System Manager, a typical day might include the following:- Manage SEL's laboratory accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 9001, and other requirements.
- Oversee and enhance SEL's Laboratory Quality Management System (LQMS).
- Teach, train and audit laboratory staff on SEL processes and procedures.
- Respond to laboratory non-conformances and process shortcomings quickly and effectively.
- Develop data analytics to drive laboratory improvements and decisions.
- Support management in achieving SEL's compliance objectives and goals.
- Guide Product Compliance personnel on effective problem solving, preventive/corrective actions, and non-conforming laboratory processes and output.
This job might be for you if you have:- BS or BEng in Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of education/experience
- 8+ years of laboratory experience in compliance testing and/or calibration
- IEC/ISO 17025 and ISO 9001 Auditor
- Strong writing, documentation, and public speaking skills
- Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications- Basic Knowledge of EMC, safety, and ecology regulations and standards
- Experience working in a safety and/or EMC laboratory
- Understanding of common compliance related test equipment, test chambers, and testing practices
- Knowledge of compliance practices and philosophies at a development and/or manufacturing company
- Leadership experience or training
- ASQ certification CQE
