Labor & Employment Associate Attorney - Orange County or Los Angeles

Direct Counsel is seeking a Labor & Employment Associate Attorney to join a highly respected, full-service law firm with offices in both Orange County and Los Angeles.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of employment litigation experience, with a strong emphasis on wage and hour class actions. This role offers the opportunity to work across single-plaintiff and class action matters, while also providing day-to-day employment counseling to clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Litigate wage and hour class and representative actions
  • Handle single-plaintiff discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and retaliation claims
  • Draft and respond to pleadings, discovery, and dispositive motions
  • Provide employment law counseling on issues such as leaves, accommodations, discipline/termination, and compliance
  • (Optional but preferred) Assist with traditional labor matters

Compensation:
  • Base salary: $250,000 - $275,000
  • Total compensation potential (including discretionary bonus): $375,000 - $425,000+, based on billable performance
