About the Role:The Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse I plays a crucial role in providing high-quality care to expectant mothers and their newborns during the labor and delivery process. This position involves monitoring the health and progress of patients, administering medications, and assisting with various procedures to ensure safe and effective childbirth experiences. The nurse will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, addressing both physical and emotional needs. Additionally, the role requires educating patients and their families about the labor process, postpartum care, and newborn care. Ultimately, the goal is to ensure a positive and supportive environment for families during one of the most significant moments of their lives.
Minimum Qualifications:- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications:- Previous experience in labor and delivery nursing.
- Certification in Inpatient Obstetric Nursing (RNC-OB).
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
