About the role- We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented AV Lab Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for hands-on assembly and disassembly, executing software commands, contributing to experimental design, and providing technical support to internal teams. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical aptitude, a problem-solving mindset, and a desire to learn and expand their skillset in a dynamic lab environment.
What you'll doMechanical Assembly & Technical Troubleshooting:o Assemble and disassemble complex systems and equipment.
o Perform in-depth mechanical troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
o Develop and document assembly and disassembly procedures.
o Contribute to the design and improvement of experimental setups.
o Demonstrate excellent skills in following and developing technical instructions.
Technical Support:
o Provide technical support to internal teams, assisting with experimental setup, execution, and analysis.
o Investigate and resolve technical issues related to lab equipment and processes.
o Document technical findings and solutions.
IT & Hardware Support:o Perform intermediate IT tasks, such as troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and network configuration.
o Assist with setting up, maintaining, and optimizing computer equipment.
o Utilize and expand advanced computer skills, including Linux command line, scripting, and data analysis tools.
o Disassemble and reassemble computer hardware, displays, and specialized equipment.
Other:o Collaborate with team members to plan and execute experiments, ensuring efficient workflow.
o Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
o Adhere to company policies and procedures.
o Contribute to the development and implementation of new lab processes and procedures.
Qualifications:• Strong technical literacy and competency.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
• Willingness to learn new skills, particularly in specialized lab techniques, IT, and computer systems.
• Experience in a lab environment is a plus.

The pay range for this role is:
38 - 42 USD per hour (Mountain View, CA)
