Full Job Description
HDR has an excellent career opportunity in our Louisiana/Mississippi Area for a professional to lead our Coastal Restoration Business Class. We are looking for someone who will work in a collaborative manner with our local and national leadership to help grow the program with an emphasis on delivering quality services, client development, and market diversification. In the role of Area Coastal Business Class Leader, we'll count on you to: - Participate in delivery of project services through planning, design, and construction phases to meet client expectations - Serve as Project Manager or Technical Lead on coastal restoration projects - Support the development of and provide reviews of scopes of work, fee estimates, project risk identification and project schedules - Assist with contract review on key projects to help ensure risk management, proper staffing, quality reviews and resolution of claims - Conduct quality assurance and quality control reviews where appropriate or assist technical teams in finding appropriate reviewers - Identity, develop, and implement coastal initiatives in the marketplace - Collaborate with other technical and marketing staff in the pursuit of new projects, as well as taking a leadership role in selected key pursuits - Serve as a client liaison to select agencies and clients - Collaborate with our business class practice leaders and professional discipline groups regarding technical services and activities to continually improve standards and best practices, and to implement effective quality assurance and quality control reviews - Serve as Subject Matter Expert for Regional, State, and Federal coordination - Work with area leadership to identify technical gaps and support talent management and recruiting - Mentor staff and support their development - Take responsibility for area coordination, monitoring and improvement of technical competencies of business class staff and products to meet client needs and market drivers, all within direction and goals of business class plans - Participate in business class practice and professional discipline groups, project teams and activities to continually improve standards and best practices - Participate in area business class strategic planning, budgeting and plan implementation - Perform other duties as needed Preferred Qualifications - Actively engaged in professional or industry associations to enhance HDR technical expertise and brand - Ph.D, in related fields - Management of coastal State and Federal Programs #LI-KT1 Qualifications Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field - 10 years of experience - Committed to quality, improvement and HDR values - Maintains a professional or engineering registration and has related technical experience - Experienced in development and management of diverse teams - Works cooperatively with other area business class leaders, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers on business class efforts - An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
