Full Job Description
We are looking for a KB Steward. This position will be based in Wendell, NC but can be remote within the USA.

As a KB Steward, you will manage and curate the knowledge base, systems, and engineering tools for assigned product lines, ensuring accurate, current, and accessible information for stakeholders across the business. You will support the Electrification & Automation knowledge base team and help maintain tools that enable innovation, improve configurator accuracy, and drive productivity for engineering and operational teams.

You'll make a difference by:
  • Managing and maintaining knowledge base content, engineering tools, and system data for assigned product lines, including SIEBREAK Metal-Enclosed Switchgear, GM-SG Metal-Clad Switchgear, and SIMOVAC Medium Voltage Controller products.
  • Partnering with Product Lifecycle Management, Research & Development, Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and other operational teams to support new product introduction and anticipate tool and system needs.
  • Supporting SAP Variant Configurator rules, NX Tools, and Cost+ rules for mechanical parts to improve configuration accuracy and quotation quality.
  • Reviewing trends in commonly added or deleted parts and updating configurator logic to improve engineering efficiency, data accuracy, and product quality.
  • Collaborating with mechanical engineering subject matter experts to gather, validate, document, and organize product and engineering information.
  • Creating and maintaining knowledge base guidelines, contributor best practices, and documentation standards that support consistent, high-quality content.
  • Training team members, supporting knowledge base users, and conducting periodic audits to identify opportunities for optimization and continuous improvement.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
  • 2+ years of experience with the following:
    • MRP solutions such as SAP or Oracle.
    • Power distribution, power protection, switchgear, electrical equipment, or related industrial manufacturing environments.
    • Bills of Material, product structures, product configuration, or engineering data management.
    • Content management systems, databases, or knowledge management tools.
    • Cross-functional communication, workload management, documentation, and collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, and business teams.
    • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to support multiple priorities, maintain a high-quality work product, and contribute to a detail-focused culture.
  • ~ 5% travel required.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience developing, maintaining, or improving tools that increase efficiency, quality, productivity, or cost performance.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Engineering Base by Aucotec, Medium Voltage Switchgear, Low Voltage Motor Controllers, or related engineering design tools and products.
  • Experience in made-to-order engineering, engineer-to-order manufacturing, CPQ systems, product configurators, product configuration, or knowledge-based engineering tools.
  • Exposure to Product Lifecycle Management processes, new product introduction activities, and collaboration with Research & Development, Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Product Management teams.
  • Experience with cloud-based CRM solutions such as Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics, automation initiatives, or AI tools and technologies that improve productivity, automate processes, and drive efficiency gains.

The pay range for this position is $83,966 - $143,942 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
