Full Job Description
Takes ownership of the customer relationship within the assigned sector. Develop and maintain assigned territory, sub-vertical &/or customer relationship, utilizing TTI's products and services to maximize sales, gross profit, and return on investment/assets. Develop the assigned regional or corporate strategy while working closely with the sales branches to position TTI as the preferred supplier.

Our Key Accounts Managers Team:

  • Develop and execute business strategies for assigned sector Tier 1 accounts, sub-verticals, or territories by identifying and focusing on account growth opportunities and potential avenues for expansion. Success is measured by increased sales/meeting sales objectives.
  • Develop and coordinate customer or market segment reviews by interfacing with the customer and TTI management to arrange agenda/itinerary content, creating a productive and well-prepared information exchange.
  • Create formal sales and marketing presentations by utilizing technical resources and corporate information to deliver a consistent and compelling company message.
  • Assist the Vice President of Aerospace and Defense and/or the Global Account Manager with the annual budgeting process by giving input and projections on cost and expenses forecasted for the upcoming fiscal year.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in assigned accounts or territories to gain insight into competitive intelligence and position the company as the preferred supplier.
  • Monitors competitor activity in each account and ensures that appropriate response strategies are formulated and communicated effectively.
  • Seek new opportunities, with customers within assigned territory or sub-vertical that focus on new design, new product development or supply chain solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams (data management, operations, engineering, marketing, product management - as applicable) to provide tailored solutions to customers.
  • Reviews financial results (sales and inventory liability) and recommends adjustments to achieve growth and profit objectives.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, defense programs, and emerging technologies impacting sector electronics.
  • Support TTI dedicated field operations by having team involvement and coordination producing quality work with seamless communication and highest customer service.
  • Share the vision of TTI by upholding the mission and ethical business standards in every transaction.
  • Foster customer good will/relationship development by hosting customer visits and tours to corporate facilities.
  • Responsible for proactively answering customer inquiries and resolving their concerns. Identify trends and potential concerns with assigned accounts or sub-verticals by pursuing resolution with appropriate personnel resulting in quick issue resolution and proactive customer service.
  • Maintains market awareness on competitor activities, industry tends and new concepts by reading industry periodicals, networking, attending periodic update training events and trade shows which will ensure that the manager is adding value and is current on industry knowledge to aid in making informed decisions.
  • Participates in the TTI Total Quality Program by driving the importance of quality, ensuring the branch is following the defined processes, and identifying the areas of process improvement.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Degree from an accredited four-year College or University in a related field and at least three to five years of experience in electronics distribution or a related field. Equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.

This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $90,000 to $120,000. This position is also eligible for an incentive paid monthly, quarterly, and/or annually. Total compensation targeted for this role is $120,000 to $170,000. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational considerations including assigned accounts. Please note, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
