Full Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Key Accounts Director to own and grow strategic relationships with First Orion’s most complex and high-value customers. This role serves as a trusted advisor to customer executives, developing and executing account strategies that strengthen retention, expand solution adoption, and drive sustainable revenue growth. The ideal candidate combines strategic account leadership, consultative selling, and strong cross-functional partnership to align customer priorities with First Orion solutions and deliver exceptional business outcomes.

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Own strategic relationships for key accounts, serving as the primary business contact and trusted advisor. 

  • Develop and execute account plans to drive retention, adoption, and revenue growth. 

  • Identify and manage expansion opportunities through upsell, cross-sell, and new solution adoption. 

  • Build executive-level relationships and lead Executive Business Reviews (EBRs) and strategic planning discussions. 

  • Align customer objectives with First Orion solutions and growth strategies. 

  • Lead renewal planning, retention efforts, and risk mitigation activities. 

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes. 

  • Maintain expertise in First Orion solutions, industry trends, and competitive dynamics. 

  • Manage account plans, pipelines, forecasts, and customer activity in Salesforce. 

  • Maintain accurate account documentation and keep leadership informed of key developments. 

 

What you’ll need: 

  • 8+ years in account management, strategic accounts, business development, enterprise sales, or related customer-facing roles. 

  • Experience managing complex enterprise accounts, including multi-million-dollar portfolios. 

  • Proven success driving customer retention, account growth, and expansion revenue. 

  • Ability to build trusted executive and C-suite relationships and lead business reviews and strategic planning discussions. 

  • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and business development skills. 

  • Knowledge of enterprise sales, account management, and customer lifecycle practices.

  • Experience with Salesforce and data-driven decision-making.

  • Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to identify customer needs, uncover growth opportunities, and develop strategic solutions.

  • Proven collaboration across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience in telecommunications, messaging, communications technology, fraud prevention, identity solutions, SaaS, or other related industries. 

  • Experience working with wireless carriers, large enterprises, financial institutions, healthcare organizations, or other highly regulated industries.
