In this role, you'll be responsible for deepening strategic partnerships, executing joint business plans, and unlocking incremental growth within your assigned banners. Responsibilities

  • Own the relationship with assigned grocery banners (e.g., Sobeys, Metro, others) including buyer negotiations, category reviews, and executive business reviews.
  • Develop and execute annual joint business plans aligned with SodaStream's national sales strategy, focusing on joint value creation, profitable growth, and strategic differentiation.

  • Lead promotional planning & execution across B&M and eCommerce (retail.ca) channels, optimizing for sell-through and share of shelf.
  • Track and analyze POS data to identify growth opportunities, risks, and category trends-then turn insights into fact-based selling stories.
  • Lead new product listings and secure expanded distribution across your banners, including planogram resets and feature placements.
  • Collaborate with the eCommerce and Marketing teams to support omni-channel strategies (retail.ca) and localized campaigns.
  • Monitor compliance with GS1 standards (where applicable, e.g., Sobeys/Metro) and lead data synchronization efforts to improve speed-to-market and reduce administrative friction.
  • Travel as needed to customer locations, industry events, and internal meetings.

Qualifications

  • Education: University degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years in Sales, Category Management, or Key Account Management within FMCG or consumer durables.
  • Retail experience: Proven success managing large ACV retailers, preferably with direct experience across Sobeys, Metro, or other banners.
  • GS1 or retailer portal proficiency (e.g., Sobeys Portal, Metro internal systems) is highly valued.
  • Analytical strength: Ability to mine POS and panel data (Nielsen, Circana, retailer-specific) to build compelling, fact-based sales stories.
  • Negotiation skills: Ability to find "win-win-win" solutions for the consumer, SodaStream, and the retailer.
  • Financial acumen: Solid understanding of trade spending, P&L, gross margin, and ROI trade-offs.
