Reporting directly to the Director of Retail Sales, the incumbent is responsible for sales performance and business development within the retail sector. They oversee the execution and follow-up of sales plans, contribute to the development of sales strategies, and provide support to the Director as required.
More specifically, the incumbent will:- Develop sales growth strategies and manage key customer accounts;
- Drive sales growth for assigned customers, align sales objectives, and ensure the execution of sales plans while acting as a liaison between customers, Customer Service, and Logistics;
- Respond to requests for proposals (RFPs), maintain key performance indicators (KPIs), and analyze sales results and market trends to identify opportunities and emerging market developments;
- Identify business opportunities within their sector (promotions, tactics, capacities), determine optimal solutions in the event of stock shortages, and coordinate follow-up with internal teams as needed;
- Conduct profitability analysis and prepare reports related to business performance, account follow-up, and business development initiatives;
- Develop and maintain a dynamic database on customer volumes, trends, and strategic directions;
- Prepare and lead customer business reviews, including performance analyses and growth plans;
- Provide administrative support based on the operational needs of the sector.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, preferably with a specialization in Marketing;
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing key accounts and private label business;
- Experience in Trade Marketing, data analysis, and market trend analysis;
- Excellent knowledge of the Canadian retail market;
- Experience in meat processing or the agri-food industry is considered a significant asset;
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and IRI systems;
- Bilingualism (French and English) is required for the successful performance of this role.
Hiring Range: CAD $66,259 - $116,836
Bonus: This position is eligible for a bonus up to 8% of base salary subject to the plan terms and conditions.
