Join our Team: Key Account Manager
Watertown, SD - RemoteWhat you'll do- Manage, support, and grow relationships across multiple levels with each Investor-Owned Utility (IOU) customer within the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic territories.
- Develop key account plans, drive market share growth with targeted customer accounts to drive sales and market share.
- Conduct regular account reviews and communicate opportunities, risks, customer initiatives, concerns, and suggested actions to Terex leadership.
- Provide pricing guidance to ensure competitive market positioning and profitability.
- Deliver forward-looking insights to anticipate customer needs, market trends, and business opportunities.
- Compliance with company safety, CRM, pricing, and reporting requirements.
- Collaborate closely with Regional Product Support Managers and Service Branch teams to support customer success and issue resolution.
- Partner with Marketing to execute customer-focused initiatives and growth strategies.
- Coordinate market pricing programs and annual purchase agreements with key accounts.
- Maintain accurate customer opportunities, quotations, and forecasts in company's CRM system.
- Represent Terex professionally and promote a strong culture of safety, integrity, responsiveness, and customer service.

- Travel 50%
- Knowledgeable on the company, our industry, our products, and foster lasting relationships with our customers.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex accounts with long sales cycles and multiple decision makers.
- Willingness to submit for pre-employment background check and drug screening.
- Must be able to pass Motor Vehicle Report as driving a requirement for the position.
- Must reside within or willing to relocate to the territory.
Preferred Qualification:
- 5+ years in a similar field of key account management, utility - equipment sales, fleet sales, or related capital equipment industry.
- Strategic and commercially focused.
- Focused on developing long-term customer value.
- Accountable for commitments and follow-through.
- Comfortable engaging both executive leadership and field personnel.
- Experience utilizing Salesforce.
- Knowledge of the principles and practices involved in new business development, product marketing, and sales
- BS in Business or Finance
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
- Proficient at public speaking
- Proven ability to establish credibility and strong partnerships across the organization and with customers.
- Thorough understanding of the utility industry and ability to offer informed perspective on the market and strategies to facilitate growth.
- Intimate knowledge of our customer base, their buying habits, business models, and how to leverage the Terex value proposition.
- Ability to lead, mentor and develop others.
- Excellent computer skills particularly within Microsoft office
- Comfortable with operating utility, construction, or industrial equipment.
- Flexibility for occasional extended overnight travel, as necessary.
The compensation range for this position is pay $131k - $150k. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
