Some Typical Duties & Responsibilities Include:
Provide overall direction and oversight of Facilities Operations to ensure compliance with the safety envelope, laws and regulations and DOE Orders. Support and assist the Facility Manager, as necessary, specifically including management and leadership for the development, coordination, implementation and oversight of facilities programs. Serve as primary operations interface for scope determination and installation of "small" projects.
Ensure facility compliance with Federal and State laws and permits, DOE orders and facility authorization agreements.
*Ensure all activities in the facility are performed in a safe and cost effective manner in accordance with good Conduct of Operations.
*Provide guidance and supervision for the Shift Manager to enable execution of the facility schedule while maintaining compliance with
Technical Safety Requirements.
*Provide a mature and stable senior facility management presence in the role of Senior Supervisory Watch and Senior Drill Observer.
*Manage the planning of major repair activities and direct execution through other supervisory personnel.
*Review and approve procedures, shift and emergency preparedness drills, and work and design packages, training materials and exams.
*Establish goals, expectations, and priorities for plant operations through concise, informative communications and monitor work activities to
ensure operations objectives are met.
*Establish and integrate objectives to develop schedules. Coordinate resource availability for facility operations.
Required Qualifications
• Twelve or more YOE as an individual contributor in one or more of the roles managed plus three or more years of experience (YOE) in a relevant management role, OR Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field plus eight or more years of experience (YOE) in one or more of the roles managed, OR Master's Degree in a relevant field plus five or more years of experience (YOE) in one or more of the roles managed
• Equivalencies to experience and education requirements will be considered

Technical bachelors degree preferred.
Experience in complex industrial or nuclear facility preferred.
Understanding of applicable environmental laws and regulations, DOE Orders, SRS policies preferred. Ability to qualify (if applicable) in facility process areas. May require certifications such as Rad Worker and site ERO, and licenses such as Wastewater.
May require security clearance and Human Reliability Program acceptance.

Discipline Description
Operations leadership personnel provide overall direction and oversight of Facility Operations and Operations Support functions to ensure strategies and schedules accomplish facility contract milestones while maintaining compliance with the safety envelope, laws and regulations and DOE Orders. They lead and schedule the execution of all missions, programs, and initiatives within nuclear facilities, to include ownership of support organizational functions such as Engineering, Training, Radiological Controls, Maintenance, Project Controls, Nuclear Criticality, Quality Assurance, Nuclear Material Control & Accountability, Construction, and Weapons Production. They establish performance standards and ensure adherence to the standards in the facilities.

This includes Radiological, Maintenance, Engineering, Nuclear Criticality, Quality Assurance, Nuclear Material Control & Accountability, and Weapons Production activities. Operations personnel oversee the safe and efficient functioning of plant systems, equipment, and machinery in a nuclear setting. They monitor operational parameters, conduct routine inspections, and ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements. They may respond to alarms, troubleshoot various issues, and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain operational stability.
