Job Title - Electronic Systems Product Engineer

Location -Columbus, IN

Project Overview: The purpose of this activity is to perform designated Automated Driving Systems related tasks.

Important: 4+ yrs. of ADI experience, excellent communication to participate in OEM meetings

Project Scope:
  • The electronic systems product engineer will primarily be responsible for supporting/working with fellow ADS engineers to execute ADS related bench and truck testing to support efforts toward production SW release and continued development of electrical and electronic interfaces.
  • The role of electronic systems product engineer will include cross-functional work with internal technical departments.
  • It will include communication with internal and external suppliers and customers.
  • The engineer will be expected to have clear and above average written and verbal communication skills and be able to resolve issues through individual investigation and consensus building.

Engineer's Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
  • Executing the draft ADS test procedures to provide feedback for executability and clean-up to support publication.
  • Executing published ADI (Advanced Driving Interfaces) test procedures via bench testing
  • Supporting/leading ADS vehicle testing
  • Will be analyzing bench/truck testing data
  • Will be interacting with OEMs and ADI partners in regularly occurring meetings/calls/emails for integration, testing, and issue investigation efforts.
  • Will be interacting with engine program teams for ADI integration efforts.
  • Will support both current product and VPI (value package introduction) efforts for ADI interface implementation
  • Will support and/or lead some of the efforts for ADI formal documentation creation/maintenance (Ex: ESWs, requirement docs, CEBs, tuning guides, iDFMEA PSHA, etc.)
  • Will participate in activities related to Functional Safety/ISO26262 establishment for ADI
  • Will support and/or lead the efforts of coaching ADI partners through the upfit and decommission of ADS calibrations on their ADS vehicles.
