The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a systems engineer or data analyst who wants to expand their background by being exposed to the methodologies of the Aegis Weapon System (AWS) and learn how to apply related source code understanding, software development skills, systems engineering, and analysis techniques to assess system performance.  This position supports the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) through detailed data analysis of multiple Combat System computer programs with the objective of identifying computer program anomalies.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and review current software and related documentation. i.e. specifications, requirements, interface documents, test documents.

  • Assist in the research and analysis of existing systems and program requirements; assists in preparing documentation to change existing programs.

  • Perform data analysis to support internal and external project.

  • Perform analysis tools development; including the coding, testing, debugging, implementation, and documentation maintenance of basic programs that are designed to assist with data analysis practices.

  • Design basic programs for projects or enhancements to existing programs to support data analysis.

  • Assist in resolving identified issues within the AWS.

  • Assist in development of Analysis Cases used to thoroughly analyze Combat System performance on a system functionality basis. 

  • Travel to various test sites to support Combat System testing.

  • Root Cause isolation of identified computer program anomalies via methods of data analysis and source code analysis.

  • Perform software development utilizing Python and C++ to expand the capabilities of data analysis tool suites.

  • Travel to local and non-local test sites to support AWS capability testing. 

  • Work in an office where you will be required to coordinate and collaborate with a team, while also being able to work independently.

  • This position requires access to secure systems and is not telework eligible. 

Qualifications:

(Required)

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or physical science.

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain, at minimum, a Secret Level Security Clearance. Active Secret Security Clearance is a plus.

(Desired)

  • Experience in C++, Java, and/or Python programming languages.

  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering principles and software (Rhapsody, Cameo, etc)

  • Active Secret level clearance.

  • Experience with Aegis Weapons System or similar Combat System

Pay Range:

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
