Position Description:

Advance your IT career as a Systems Administrator on a collaborative Agile team supporting the infrastructure behind mission-critical supervisory systems for a federal agency. You'll take ownership of server administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, automation, and security, working alongside experienced engineers and IT professionals. This position is located in our Lafayette, Louisiana and Knoxville,TN office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Due to the nature of government contracts, US citizenship is required.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

. Administer, monitor, and maintain Windows server environments and related infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance
. Lead system configuration, patching, and upgrades to support compliance and reliability
. Monitor system health, performance, and availability using enterprise tools (e.g., SolarWinds, AppDynamics, ThousandEye)
. Respond to and troubleshoot incidents, performing root cause analysis and escalating as needed
. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls (Active Directory, IAM)
. Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning and execution
. Automate routine tasks and system administration using scripting (PowerShell, Bash)
. Document system configurations, changes, and standard operating procedures
. Collaborate with IT, security, and development teams to support deployments, resolve issues, and ensure secure operations
. Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to process improvement and team knowledge sharing
. Stay current with emerging technologies, best practices, and security standards

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
. 3-5 years of experience in systems administration, IT operations, or related roles in enterprise environments
. Proficiency with Windows Server administration, Active Directory, and basic networking concepts
. Experience with system monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, AppDynamics)
. Experience with scripting or automation (PowerShell, Bash)
. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills
. Experience supporting backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures
. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
. Eligibility for federal background investigation and compliance with security requirements.

Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
Experience supporting enterprise-scale or federal IT environments
Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
Exposure to DevSecOps, CI/CD, or Agile environments
Certifications (e.g., CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administrator, Azure Administrator)

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $56,600.00 - $139,300.00.
