Title:
Junior Sustainment Test and Evaluation Engineer

KBR is seeking a motivated entry-level, Junior Sustainment Test Engineer to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO.

The MSEIT effort provides leading-edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the United States Space Force's (USSF) Space Systems Command (SSC). We acquire state-of-the-art Military and Commercial Satellite Communications (SATCOM) and Nuclear Command, Control and Communications (NC3) systems, providing global secure, survivable, and protected communications for our nation's warfighters. We seek technical individuals who will thrive in a highly collaborative work environment of small teams, using the most modern tools and methodologies to tackle the challenges of integrating complex space and ground communications systems. Join our high-functioning, high-performing MSEIT Sustainment IPT located at Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB) and be an important part of directly supporting the Joint and Allied operational warfighting community, currently employing MILSATCOM and NC3 space systems, terminals and software applications worldwide.

The MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) effort provides leading edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the US Space Force's Space Systems Center (SSC). We support the Space Force's acquisition of state of the art satellite communications systems, providing global secure, survivable, and protected communications for our nation's warfighters. We seek technical individuals who will thrive in a highly collaborative work environment of small teams, using the most modern tools and methodologies to tackle the challenges of integrating complex space and ground communications systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, plan, coordinate, execute testing and provide terminal operations support on the Family of Beyond Line-of-Sight Terminals (FAB-T), Mission Planning Subsystem (MPSS), Air Force Command Post Terminal (AFCPT), Time Distribution Subsystem Pre-Processor (TDSPP), Milstar Messaging System (MMS), Global Broadcast Service (GBS), Ground Multi-band Terminal (GMT), various other systems, subsystems and MILSATCOM devices
  • Provide technician-level support for each of the above systems, including integration, communication circuit troubleshooting, and system-level anomaly resolution
  • Identify and isolate software or hardware defects to evaluate/assess system modifications for shortfalls or interoperability issues and provide technical assessments to the client with regards to the modifications
  • Author, peer-review, and deliver technical documentation including test plans, detailed test procedures, system configuration diagrams, engineering studies, technical white papers, and test reports
  • Potential for travel approximately 10%

Desired:
  • International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) Certification (e.g., ASEP, CSEP, ESEP)
  • Knowledge of DoD mission system sustainment
  • Possess a SECRET clearance


Basic Compensation: $75,000 - $93,000 in Colorado

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
