Title:
Sr. STO Analyst (Special Technical Operations)

This is a contingent position based upon contract award

KBR is seeking a Sr. Special Technical Operations (STO) Analyst who will provide expert operational support to highly classified national security space missions, executing and overseeing complex STO activities. This role delivers advanced mission analysis, operational reporting, and decision-support products to senior leadership across the customer enterprise.

The Senior Analyst coordinates mission planning and deconfliction with multiple operations centers and Intelligence Community partners. The position provides authoritative operational feedback to acquisition and mission stakeholders regarding system performance, gaps, and mission impacts.

This role is performed full-time on site at a government facility in Springfield, Virginia, and is contingent upon contract award.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Execute and oversee complex compartmented STO operations supporting national security space missions
  • Lead development and delivery of high-fidelity operational reports, briefings, and decision-support products
  • Coordinate and deconflict mission planning activities across multiple operations centers and mission partners
  • Administer and ensure compliance with Alternate Compensatory Control Measures (ACCM) requirements
  • Conduct in-depth operational assessments to identify system gaps, mission risks, and threat implications
  • Provide expert operational feedback to acquisition offices and mission stakeholders on system requirements and performance
  • Support integration of new capabilities, automation efforts, and operational enhancements
  • Mentor junior STO personnel and support team execution of mission objectives


Required Qualifications:
  • Senior-level experience:
  • Master's degree with 11+ years of relevant experience with demonstrated expertise
  • Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of relevant experience with demonstrated expertise
  • No degree with 14+ years of relevant experience with demonstrated expertise
  • Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with adjudicated polygraph
  • Extensive experience conducting Special Technical Operations or space-related operational missions
  • Demonstrated experience supporting Intelligence Community or Department of Defense space operations


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience coordinating operations across Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, or Intelligence Community partners
  • Subject matter expertise in space and ground-based threat capabilities and space surveillance missions
  • Experience supporting acquisition lifecycle feedback, requirements validation, or capability integration
