This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Junior Project Controls Specialist in our New York, NY office. Be involved in projects with our Project Controls & Technology Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Cost Management and Tracking of project budgets


  • Data analysis


  • Project Scope Change Control


  • Assist in report writing, visual representations of data


  • Work under the Project Manager to support the Project vision and initiatives.


  • Maintain documentation in SharePoint or similar Electronic Document Management System (EDMS)


  • Communicate with project team members.


  • Prepare project-related meeting agendas, minutes and action items.


  • Develop and maintain spreadsheets and databases for correspondence logs and progress reports.


  • Generate presentations, as directed by the Project Manager.


  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or related discipline or equivalent experience.


  • 1-3 years of experience in Project Controls.


  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.


  • Effective reporting and strong communication skills.


  • Advanced computer and word processing skills using MS Office applications


  • Proficiency with MS Excel


  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills


  • Ability to coordinate several high-priority deadlines simultaneously and demonstrate flexibility when priorities change


  • Excellent organizational & prioritizing skills with the ability to multitask


Compensation and Benefits:

WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and retirement savings focused on a providing health and financial stability throughout the employee's career.

Expected Salary: $90,000-$115,000
