What You'll DoLead general liability litigation matters from initial case evaluation through trial or resolution.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop litigation strategy and assess legal risk.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, briefs, and settlement agreements.
- Handle depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials.
- Advise clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, and expert witnesses.
- Mentor and supervise associate attorneys and litigation support staff.
- Help expand and strengthen the firm's California practice.
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships.
What You Bring- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active California Bar admission.
- Significant experience managing general liability litigation.
- Strong legal writing, research, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills.
- Ability to independently manage complex litigation matters.
- Experience supervising attorneys or litigation teams preferred.
- Portable book of business preferred.
- Experience developing new client relationships.
- Ability to bring an associate or established legal team is highly desirable.
- Prior law firm leadership or partnership experience preferred.
