Full Job Description
Position Title: Junior Employment Litigation Associate

Salary Range: $160,000 - $170,000 annually / DOE

A nationally recognized labor and employment law firm is seeking a Junior Employment Litigation Associate for its Sacramento office. This attorney will support employer-side litigation matters by drafting discovery, preparing pleadings and motions, developing agency position statements, and assisting with cases throughout the litigation lifecycle. The ideal candidate is a motivated early-career attorney with strong writing and analytical skills, sound judgment, and the initiative to pursue meaningful hands-on experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Draft and respond to written discovery
  • Prepare complaints, answers, and other initial pleadings
  • Research and draft dispositive and non-dispositive motions
  • Prepare agency position statements
  • Assist with deposition preparation and take or defend depositions as experience
  • develops
  • Conduct legal research and analyze complex employment law issues
  • Support attorneys throughout all phases of litigation
  • Assist with case strategy, document review, and hearing preparation
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and internal
