Position Title: Junior Associate Litigation Attorney
This is the kind of litigation role that gives ambitious attorneys real exposure to sophisticated cases without getting lost in a massive firm. A high-end boutique litigation practice is seeking a Junior/Mid-Level Litigation Associate with 4-6 years of civil litigation experience to join a collaborative team handling complex, high-stakes matters. The attorney will support cases involving complex commercial disputes, white-collar matters, government investigations, healthcare fraud, employment-related litigation, trade secrets, and founder disputes while taking on increasingly substantive responsibility as they develop.
The ideal candidate is a strong writer and confident communicator who is intellectually curious, internally motivated, and ready to think beyond assigned tasks to anticipate what a case needs next.
Salary Range: $100,000 - $200,000 / Year, DOE
Responsibilities - Handle substantive legal research, analysis, and drafting across sophisticated civil litigation matters
- Draft motions, briefs, discovery, correspondence and other case-related documents with a strong emphasis on persuasive legal writing
- Support discovery strategy, depositions, hearings and other phases of litigation
- Work closely with partners, senior attorneys and paralegals on complex matters involving significant financial and business stakes
- Take increasing ownership of matters as experience and familiarity with the firm's practice grow
- Analyze case developments, identify next steps and proactively move assignments forward
- Participate in collaborative case strategy while exercising independent judgment and critical thinking
Requirements - JD from an accredited law school
- Active California Bar membership
- 4-6 years of civil litigation experience
- Experience in complex litigation or a closely related practice area
- Exceptional legal research, analytical, and writing skills
- Strong oral communication skills with the confidence to advocate effectively
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and anticipate what needs to happen next
- Self-starter mentality with the ability to thrive without micromanagement
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach
- Deposition and in-person court experience are strongly preferred
