Preferably bilingual in Spanish
Proven classroom instruction experience
Ability to engage with students during extracurricular activities
Responsibilities
Implement JROTC programs according to established regulations
Provide leadership and instruction in the classroom setting
Organize and supervise extracurricular activities, including competitions
Conduct physical training and weekend camps
Coordinate and participate in events like holiday parades and ceremonies

Noncommissioned Officers must be retired and within three years from retirement date, from the Army in the grades of E-6 through E-9
Warrant Officers must be retired and within three years from retirement date from the army in the grades W-1 through W-5
Bilingual Spanish speaking preferred..

Additional information:
In addition to teaching in the classroom there are a number of activities that will require JROTC instructors to work outside of the regular school hours. An instructor's work week could easily exceed 50 hours and may include additional weekend activities.

Minimum Instructor Pay (MIP) is the difference between official retired pay, reported by the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS), and the active duty pay and allowances (excluding hazardous duty and special pays) that a JROTC instructor would receive if ordered to active duty.
