Position Description:

The Enterprise Logistics Management System (ELMS) is a major Department of Defense enterprise application supporting accountable property and logistics operations across all Defense Services and more than 50 Defense Agencies. ELMS manages over 80 million assets valued at more than $141 billion, serving as the Department's Accountable Property System of Record.
The system provides enterprise capabilities for:
. Property accountability
. Fleet management
. Real property
. Retail warehouse operations
. Internal use software
. Financial reporting

The Jr. Database Administrator supports all activities associated with the administration and sustainment of ELMS program databases. This role helps ensure secure, accurate, efficient data storage and access across a large enterprise environment, working with senior DBAs, developers, and system analysts to maintain high performance, mission critical database operations.

This position is located in Harrisburg, PA.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

. Support the administration of computerized databases across client/server environments.
. Assist in designing, creating, and maintaining databases that meet system functionality, performance, and security requirements.
. Support database quality control, auditing, and accuracy validation to ensure appropriate data usage.
. Contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex databases, including work related to JCL, access methods, access time, device allocation, security, validation checks, and overall organization.
. Apply foundational knowledge of database technologies, development methodologies, and both front end and back-end programming languages (e.g., SQL).
. Perform basic database programming tasks and assist in supporting systems design activities.
. Support maintenance of database dictionaries, standards, procedures, file design/storage, and integration of systems through database design.
. Assist with monitoring performance, troubleshooting database issues, and supporting improvements that enhance reliability and efficiency.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

. Two (2) years of progressive experience with database query languages such as Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL Server, and MS Access.
. Two (2) years of hands on experience with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS).
. Experience working across multiple operating systems and programming languages; has contributed to at least two projects.
. Based on the nature of the work, US citizenship and a Secret clearance are required.
Desired qualifications/non essential skills required:
. Foundational understanding of database architecture, query optimization, and structured data modeling.
. Ability to collaborate with senior DBAs, developers, testers, and analysts on sustainment and modernization tasks.
. Comfort working in large scale DoD environments with structured procedures, documentation, and strict security requirements.
. Strong attention to detail and willingness to grow into more advanced database administration responsibilities.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $58,000.00 $123,800.00.
