Job Overview

Are you a Journeyperson Millwright who enjoys solving complex mechanical problems, working on industry-leading mining equipment, and getting out into the field? If you're looking for a role that combines hands-on work, travel, variety, and a 7-on/7-off schedule, this could be the opportunity for you. Based in Prince George, BC, you'll work alongside a skilled team supporting mining operations across Canada and the USA. Every day brings a new challenge-from troubleshooting and repairs to commissioning and maintenance-all while putting safety, quality, and customer service first.

Reports to: Field Supervisor
Shift: 7x7, 12h/day rotation of days and nights
Safety Sensitive: Yes- drug & alcohol testing, physical demand fit testing, RCMP criminal record check and submission of 5-year provincial driving record will be required
Travel: up to 75% within Canada and the USARelocation: This position does not offer relocation

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Inspect, maintain, repair, and service heavy mining equipment in shop and field environments
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical system issues
  • Disassemble, repair, replace, and reassemble components to OEM specifications
  • Align, level, test, and commission equipment using precision measurement tools
  • Complete accurate work orders, inspection reports, and maintenance documentation
  • Work independently in the field while supporting apprentices and fellow tradespeople as part of a collaborative team


Qualifications/Requirements

  • Journeyperson Millwright certification (Red Seal preferred)
  • 3-5 years of experience in mining, heavy equipment, construction, or related industries
  • Experience working with mining equipment and P&H mining products
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with proven experience diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and manufacturer specifications
  • Customer-focused mindset with experience working directly with clients on-site
  • Able to safely lift 50lbs. unassisted
  • Must have no restrictions to access any mine site
  • Basic welding, cutting, and fabrication capabilities are an asset
  • Experience working in remote or field-service environments
