Job description
Infosys is seeking a
Joomla Administrator to manage, support, and enhance Joomla-based web applications. This role involves day-to-day administration, security management, content updates, and integration support for Joomla CMS platforms. You will work closely with business and technical teams to ensure high availability, performance, and compliance of web systems.
You will be part of a collaborative team that values innovation, continuous learning, and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications: - Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Richardson, TX/ Raleigh, NC/ Indianapolis, IN/ Hartford, CT/Tempe, AZ or be willing to relocate to the area.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
- At least 4 years of Relevant Information Technology experience.
- Experience in Joomla CMS administration and support
- Strong understanding of PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Experience managing Joomla extensions, templates, and security configurations
- In order to comply with legal requirements, this role is limited to "U.S. persons" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15. U.S. persons include U.S. citizens, U.S. Lawful Permanent Residents, and certain refugees and asylees.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with Joomla 4.x and migration from earlier versions
- Familiarity with Apache/Nginx web servers and Linux environments . Knowledge of SEO, accessibility, and responsive design best practices
- Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipeline. Exposure to ServiceNow or other ITSM tools
- Administer and maintain Joomla CMS environments, including extensions, templates, and modules
- Perform regular updates, patches, and security hardening . Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to performance, access, and content publishing
- Collaborate with content owners and developers to implement new features and enhancements
- Ensure compliance with accessibility, branding, and security standards , Support integrations with third-party tools and internal systems
- Maintain documentation for configurations, workflows, and support procedures . Aerospace or government contracting domain experience
- Strong communication and documentation skills
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
