Description

SAIC is seeking a Joint Exercise Planner located at Camp Smith in Hawaii to support the U.S. Pacific Command (USPACOM) J637 Joint Exercise Branch to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of joint and multinational exercises by managing multiple C4/Cyber exercise requirements, supporting various Joint Exercise Lifecycle (JELC) Events, developing exercise training objectives and support products, and providing administrative and technical support to lead exercise planners across the Pacific region as a J637 Joint Exercise Subject Matter Expert (SME).

The Joint Exercise Planner will be responsible for but not limited to the following duties:
  • Coordinate exercise planning events and manage exercise documentation, deliverables, schedules, and milestones to ensure timely delivery of exercise products.
  • Develop exercise plans and after-action reports. Support the integration of exercise requirements into broader operational frameworks and goals based on guidance from J6 and J7 leadership.
  • Manage exercise knowledge repositories and facilitate knowledge sharing across senior planners, staff directorates, and external stakeholders.
  • Provide administrative and technical support to lead exercise planners, ensuring seamless execution of exercises and compliance with DoD standards and best practices.
  • Provide detailed and high-level briefings to staff directorates and General/Flag officers.
  • Perform occasional travel to planning events and exercise execution as required.

Qualifications

Required Education:
  • Bachelor's degree and ten (10) years' experience; additional four (4) years' experience can be considered in lieu of degree.

Required Clearance:
  • Must possess an active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI; US Citizenship required.

Required Skills:
  • Demonstrated experience in joint and/or multinational exercise management processes, including planning event coordination and after-action reporting.
  • Extensive experience planning across the full spectrum of C4/Cyber requirements, ideally in the Pacific Theater.
  • Experience developing running estimates and managing exercise documentation, deliverables, and knowledge repositories.
  • Working knowledge of the Joint Exercise Lifecycle (e.g., JELC), exercise requirements management, and integration of exercise objectives into operational frameworks.

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
