Role Summary
We are seeking a Java / Python / Kong API Gateway professional to design, develop, configure, and support enterprise API integrations and gateway services. The candidate should have strong development fundamentals, API lifecycle knowledge, Kong gateway exposure, troubleshooting ability, and production support discipline.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain Java and Python components supporting enterprise APIs and integrations.
• Configure, deploy, and support Kong API Gateway routes, services, plugins, and policies.
• Implement API authentication, authorization, rate limiting, logging, monitoring, and reliability controls.
• Troubleshoot API issues across application, gateway, network, and backend service layers.
• Collaborate with architecture, application, infrastructure, and security teams for API delivery.
• Participate in code reviews, release planning, CI/CD execution, and production implementation activities.
• Prepare deployment notes, API support documentation, and knowledge-transfer materials.
• Ensure API solutions meet enterprise performance, security, and operational standards.

Required Qualifications
• 4 - 7 Years of relevant hands-on experience aligned to the role.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience supporting enterprise production environments with disciplined incident, change, and release management.
• Ability to work with cross-functional application, infrastructure, security, QA, business, and client teams.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working with BFSI customers or regulated enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of ITIL/SDLC governance, audit readiness, and operational documentation requirements.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring, reporting, automation, or productivity tools relevant to the role.
• Ability to create clear runbooks, implementation notes, status updates, and knowledge-transfer materials.
Nice to Have
• Relevant certifications in the primary technology area, cloud platform, security, project mana gement, or IT service management.
• Exposure to automation, DevOps, cloud, scripting, or AI-enabled productivity practices where applicable.
• Prior experience supporting transition, modernization, conversion, or migration initiatives.

Salary Range- $90,000-$110,000 a year
