Description
Interclypse is supporting several Maryland state agencies in the modernization and sustainment of critical systems. This exciting opportunity provides candidates with the ability to contribute to the long-term health and success of the state while continuing to learn and grow professionally within Interclypse's growth mindset culture.
All positions are required to be onsite at various locations in Maryland.
Responsibilities: The Applications Development Expert provides design recommendations based on long-term IT organization strategy. The position shall use a variety of platforms to provide automated systems applications to customers. This individual will be viewed both internally and externally as a technical expert and critical technical resource across multiple disciplines. His/her responsibilities include performing the following tasks:
A. Developing enterprise level application and custom integration solutions including major enhancements and interfaces, functions and features.
B. Providing expertise regarding the integration of applications across the business.
C. Determining specifications, then plans, designs, and developing the most complex and business critical software solutions, utilizing appropriate software engineering processes (either individually or in concert with a project team).
D. Assisting in the most difficult support problems.
E. Developing programming and development standards and procedures as well as programming architectures for code reuse.
F. Understanding and consistently applying the attributes and processes of current application development methodologies.
G. Researching and maintaining knowledge in emerging technologies and possible application to the business.
H. Acting as an internal consultant, advocate, mentor and change agent.
I. Candidate should be able to design, develop and implement complex solutions based on Java technology and related frameworks.
J. Candidate should be able to assist in the system integration of components.
K. Candidate should be to translate application requirements into web-based solutions using the recommended frameworks and technology.
L. Should be able to integrate the components using Web Services, EJB, REST SOAP and other techniques.
Requirements
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or other relevant technical degrees, (Master's degree is preferred)
- Seven (7) years of IT and business/industry work experience.
Preferred Qualifications - At least 8 years of experience in designing and developing applications in Java, scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript and web technologies such as Node.js and Angular.
- At least 3 years of experience in developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Experience in Java/J2EE, REST web services, JPA and unit testing code coverage.
- Extensive experience in Framework such as spring, Hibernate.
- Experience in building front-end applications using JavaScript, Angular JS, JSON, jQuery.
- Experience in building back-end application code that interfaces with other systems, services and APIs/RESTful APIs

The base salary range provided is not adjusted for geographic differences associated with where the work is being performed. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, candidate's experience and education/training, internal peer equity, and market and business consideration.
