Job Summary
We are seeking a Java Developer with expertise in Oracle FLEXCUBE Universal Banking Solution (FCUBS) and Oracle Banking Payments Module (OBPM) to develop, customize, and support core banking applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Java/J2EE technologies, Oracle FLEXCUBE modules, OBPM workflows, and banking domain processes while collaborating with business and technical teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing banking solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, customize, and enhance applications built on Oracle FLEXCUBE Universal Banking Solution (FCUBS) and Oracle Banking Payments Module (OBPM).
• Develop and maintain Java/J2EE-based components, interfaces, and services supporting core banking operations.
• Customize FLEXCUBE and OBPM functionalities using Java, PL/SQL, and Oracle APIs.
• Design, develop, and support integrations with external systems using REST/SOAP web services, message queues (MQ), or ESB platforms.
• Participate in requirements analysis, technical design, development, unit testing, deployment, and implementation activities.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions.
• Ensure applications meet banking security, regulatory, performance, and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with business analysts, functional teams, QA teams, and production support teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Prepare technical documentation and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production deployments.
• Contribute to application enhancements, maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
• Strong hands-on experience with Java/J2EE technologies, including Core Java, Spring Framework, Hibernate, and JDBC.
• Proven experience with Oracle FLEXCUBE Universal Banking Solution (FCUBS).
• Experience with Oracle Banking Payments Module (OBPM), including workflow customization and system integration.
• Strong understanding of core banking modules such as CASA, Payments, Loans, Trade Finance, or Retail Banking.
• Experience with Oracle Database, PL/SQL development, and SQL performance tuning.
• Experience developing and consuming RESTful and SOAP web services.
• Experience integrating enterprise applications using MQ or ESB technologies.
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments and Shell scripting.
• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile development methodologies.
• Knowledge of banking security, compliance, and regulatory standards.
• Strong analytical, debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Oracle FLEXCUBE versions 12.x, 14.x, or later.
• Exposure to microservices architecture, Docker, and cloud platforms.
• Experience with performance tuning and production support in banking environments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience working with global banking organizations.
