JOB SUMMARYMaintain the order, discipline and security of the County Jail. Assist in the processing of persons into and release persons from the jail within established guidelines. Document daily events and activities and maintain current and accurate custody information. Maintain relations and address needs of attorneys, court and the general public. Performs other work as required.

- This position guarantees two salary raises within your first year as long as your performance is in good standing!

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Valid State issued Driver's License with good driving record.
- 21 years of age at time of hire.
- High School Graduate or GED equivalent (bachelor's degree preferred).
- US Citizen.
- Complete the ORPAT during hiring process and during Academy.
- Successfully pass a background investigation, psychological examination, and medical evaluation before being hired.
- DPSST Basic Law Enforcement Certification - within 18 months of employment.
- LEDS Certification required within 6 months of hiring.
- First Aid and CPR Certifications within 60 days of hiring.
All qualified candidates must complete the POST written test with a 70% or higher overall score and the ORPAT (Oregon Physical Abilities Test). You may submit previously earned test results (within 1 year for both the ORPAT and the written test).
No experience necessary; we will train. Preference will go towards lateral applicants who are currently Law Enforcement Certified and in good standing with their current/most recent agency.
