Job Purpose / SummaryServe as a senior logistics lead planner and subject matter expert supporting operational planning teams and the strategic planning process for SOCCENT J4.
Duties and Responsibilities- Assist operational planning teams to organize, focus, and synchronize enterprise partners and enablers to meet organizational end states.
- Facilitate and support the Strategic Planning Process (SPP) using systemic operational design and the military decision-making process.
- Review and analyze operational war plans, orders, and standard operating procedures; develop and present GO/FO-level briefing products.
- Facilitate working groups, community-of-interest engagements, and plans synchronization across combatant commands, TSOCs, USG partners, other government agencies, and partner nations.
- Identify, analyze, and evaluate complex, sensitive systems, policies, and processes related to current and emergent foreign threats; determine procedures for solving complex integration and analytical problems.
- Coordinate with geographic combatant command staff and forward operating units to develop a comprehensive concept of logistics support; apply knowledge management and LOGCOP technology.
- Solicit, input, and maintain unit readiness data in DRRS-S; maintain electronic mission-continuity resources.
Qualifications and Skills- Education and experience: MA/MS in Social Sciences, Public Policy, Applied Statistics, Operations Research, or Systems Analysis; JPME Level II or Service equivalent / advanced military education (SAMS, JAWS, Service War College); at least 5 years of strategic and operational planning and analysis; at least 3 years of experience in one of the specialty areas (CENTCOM AOR, MISO, MILDEC, CWMD, ORSA, CYBER, AT/FP, SNA, Special Programs, or Interagency); OR an equivalent combination of at least 10 years of SOF operational experience and education.
- Senior SOF logistics planning experience.
- May perform CONUS/OCONUS travel as required.
- This position is designated Key Personnel; a resume is required and government approval is needed prior to any substitution.
