Job Summary

The WMS Application Administrator/Developer is responsible for the administration, support, and continuous improvement of Werner's Warehouse Management System (TECSYS). This role troubleshoots system issues, develops and implements solutions, supports integrations, and partners with business stakeholders to ensure technology effectively supports warehouse operations.

Essential Functions
  • Own daily WMS system operations (TECSYS), monitoring, and issue resolution
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues (data, configuration, integrations)
  • Support warehouse operations with real-time problem solving
  • Design, build, and maintain low-code configurations and extension
  • Develop solutions using SQL, system configuration, and platform tools
  • Implement enhancements that improve efficiency, accuracy, and usability
  • Manage and troubleshoot integrations between WMS (TECSYS), ERP (Eclipse), and other systems
  • Investigate and resolve data discrepancies and transaction failures
  • Execute safe and controlled data corrections when required
  • Lead WMS enhancements, upgrades, and releases
  • Conduct fit-gap analysis and solution design
  • Identify and execute automation and optimization opportunities
  • Partner with warehouse leadership to understand operational needs
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in low-code development.
  • Working experience demonstrating strong understanding of business processes and operations, with the ability to translate business requirements into system solutions.
  • Proficient in reading/ troubleshooting programming languages & databases, with a particular emphasis on low-code/ no-code environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail, and ownership mindset.
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with TECSYS, Manhattan, Blue Yonder, Korber, or similar
  • Experience integrating WMS with ERP (Epicor Eclipse preferred)
  • Familiarity with: Warehouse operations (receiving, picking, shipping), RF devices, label printing, or automation systems
  • Knowledge of integration techniques and tools for connecting systems with other applications
