Full Job Description
Opportunity OverviewThe IT Technical Support role is responsible for providing comprehensive technical assistance to internal users, working alongside our Infrastructure team to support IT infrastructure, and ensuring the reliability and security of our technology environment. This position is based at our North Reading, MA corporate office and reports to the IT Manager or Director.

This role includes direct support of systems operating within an International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) controlled, access restricted enclave environment and requires strict adherence to security, compliance, and operational controls governing regulated systems and data. Because of ITAR regulations the candidate who fills this role must be a US National.
  • User Support & Troubleshooting
    • Serve as a primary point of contact for technical support requests, hardware and software issues, and network issues for employees via phone, email, chat, or in person
    • Diagnose and resolve technical problems, escalating complex or security sensitive issues to higher- level support teams as required
    • Provide training and guidance to users on A/V systems (e.g., Microsoft Teams Rooms, conference room technology) and productivity tools.
    • Primary responsibility will be supporting users operating within ITAR restricted environments, ensuring all assistance is provided in accordance with established procedures and security controls. Secondarily, and as time permits will be required to support users outside the restricted environment.
  • System Configuration & Maintenance
    • Configure, deploy, and maintain desktops, laptops, and mobile devices, including operating systems and software installations.
    • Apply and validate security hardening standards for enclave systems such as DISA STIG(s), NIST SP 800-171, NIST SP 800-53, Rev. 5, and CMMC L2, including disk encryption, endpoint protection (EDR), and device/USB control policies.
    • Ensure IT assets are accurately tracked and documented; maintain up-to-date records in asset and configuration management systems, including systems governed by ITAR compliance requirements.
  • ITAR & Secure Environment Support
    • Ensure strict adherence to ITAR regulations, company security policies, and audit requirements when handling systems, data, and user access.
    • Provision, modify, and deprovision user access to ITAR- restricted systems in accordance with least- privilege and need- to- -know principles.
    • Perform support activities consistent with enclave controls including restricted connectivity, removable media limitations, enhanced logging, and formal change control.
    • Perform deprovisioning and sanitization of computer hardware.
    • Participate in ITAR compliance audits, inspections, access reviews, and documentation efforts as required.
  • Collaboration & Communication
    • Coordinate with other departments, staff, vendors, Security, Compliance, and Export Control teams to resolve issues and implement IT solutions aligned with business and regulatory requirements.
    • Interface with corporate IT groups and key customers to improve the user experience while maintaining strict compliance within secure environments.
    • Clearly communicate security requirements and operational constraints when supporting users in controlled environments.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Stay current with emerging workplace and endpoint technologies, including those applicable to secure and regulated environments.
    • Contribute to process improvements, standard operating procedures, documentation, and knowledge base articles to enhance both support efficiency and compliance posture.

  • Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications & Certifications
  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or similar.
  • Exposure to ITAR, CUI, NIST, CMMC, or similar regulatory or security frameworks.
  • Experience with remote desktop tools, IT service management platforms (Jira Service Management), and formal change control- processes.
  • Familiarity with security auditing, access reviews, and compliance documentation.


We are only considering candidates local to position location and are unable to provide relocation for this position.

Compensation:
The base salary range for this role is $68,500 - $109,600. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.

Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
