IT SystemsEngineer(Systems Administrator - Senior (NCR)

Location: Ft Washington,VA* In addition to primary duties at Ft. Washington, MD, the candidate mayberequiredto providerotationalSys

Admin support in the Pentagon from 6 am to 2:30 pm, or 10:30 am to 6 pm.*

Clearance: TS/SCI

Education: BA/BS( oran AA/AS plus anadditional4 years of work-related experience)

Outcomes:

The successful candidate is expected to accomplish the following outcomes during the first year in the position:

  • Formally track all tasks, to include assigned by, suspense, status, and comments on all assigned tasks through completion and be prepared to brief upon request.


  • Develop digital continuity folders and files that include standard operating procedures, workflows and POC lists to accomplish all tasks.


  • Create 2-3 products beyond the client's requirements that positively impact the client to either increase efficiency, effectiveness, or innovation.


  • Establish foundation in AI/ML skills and contribute to AI/ML operationalization and modernization goals and objectives.


  • Master position tasks within 60 days and exceed requirements within 90 days.


  • Use government provided Generative AI tools on a day-to-day basis to accelerate tasks, research, documentation, analysis, planning, reporting, and problem solving.


  • Make recommendations on process improvements and practices that improve quality, speed and/or efficiency.


Responsibilities:

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support the team's effort to develop business process re-engineering recommendations based on current acquisitions processes and information flows to and from the intelligence community.


  • Meeting with the management team to assess and define the system requirements.


  • Analyzing network data and infrastructure todetermineinefficiencies and problems.


  • Developing and designing network architecture and computer systems infrastructure.


  • Overseeing the development, installation, configuration, and administration of computer systems.


  • Managing project timelines, budgets, and documentation.


  • Monitoring computer systems and networks for viruses, malfunctions, and errors.


  • Troubleshooting technical issues and developing effective solutions.


  • Preparing network analytics, data reports, and operational manuals.


  • Use government provided Generative AI tools on a day-to-day basis to accelerate tasks, research, documentation, analysis, planning, reporting, and problem solving.Make recommendations on process improvements and practices that improve quality,speedand/or efficiency.


  • Training the engineering team on new systems, protocols, and best practices.


Qualifications:

The candidate must have the following qualifications:

  • Minimum of five (5) years work-related experience.


  • Of those 5 years, at least four (4) years of work-related experience supporting acomponentof the Department of War (DoW)-aligned environment.


  • Experience as a Systems Engineer.


  • Security+ or DAWIA equivalent certification.


  • Graduate of an ABET-accredited systems engineering program.


  • Joint Staff experience.


The following qualifications are desired:

  • Knowledgeable and skilled in applying Generative AI.


  • Experience inIT systems integration.


  • Experience inDatabase integration techniques.


  • Experience inData visualization.


  • Systems engineering tools (SparxEA, Cameo, Core,etc).


  • Enterprise architecture development.


  • Knowledge of JCIDS, PPBE, and DAS.


  • Process mapping,e.g.BPMN or other.


  • Modeling and simulation.


Travel: Vicinity travel within the NCR.
